Last month, the abstract rhymes and trippy beats on Shabazz Palaces’ new album, Black Up, convinced me it was one of the most interesting hip hop LPs I’ve heard this year. So interesting, in fact, that I threw it on my favorites of 2011 so far list without much hesitation.
