Recently, a lot of my video comments have been peppered with suggestions of the Men’s new album, Leave Home.
These guys are a Brooklyn rock outfit with a rough, saturated sound that brings me back to some of my favorite Big Black tracks. Not only that, but the vocals sound strikingly similar to Guy Picciotto’–you know, of Fugazi and Rites of Spring fame.
“Bataille” is a voluminous hybrid of rock ‘n’ roll, post-punk, and noise that references the old, but sounds brand new. Scope the cover art for Leave Home below, and look for it now on Sacred Bones:
