When Sea Oleena dropped its first few releases, the quiet and understated songwriting of Charlotte Oleena was pretty decent, but nothing to write home about.
But now, with a cleaner recording and some extra instrumentation, the project has matured a lot. Sea Loeena’s latest album, Sleeplessness, is both gentle and haunting. This is the kind of tunage that would work perfectly in a garden setting, or just outside of a cathedral. It might be weird bringing a boom box to one of those settings, but let me have my fantasies.
