John Talabot is a Barcelona DJ with a taste for chill and a history of Mediterranean electronica remixes–think dance music suited for a poolside bar on the Cote d-Azur. Anyway, his new EP, Families, is slated for May 9 on Young Turks. Here’s the title track, a collaboration with Glasser, a.k.a. Cameron Mersbow.

Mersbow’s singing compliments the track perfectly, proving she can wax Euro-hip with the best of techno chanteuses. Somehow, this track melds Talabot’s laid-back, Ibiza-esque house with Mersbow’s cool angelic vocals to create a true “Trans-Europe Express” of electronica. It’s a blissful ride between frantic techno and smooth downtempo.
