I wish Silent Hour / Golden Mile was longer, but I still have to admit singer-songwriter Daniel Rossen has pulled together a solid collection of solo material on this 5-track EP. The man’s tunes are some of the most masterful in independent music right now.

Daniel Rossen- “Silent Song”

From his forthcoming Silent Hour / Golden Mile EP, here’s another track from Grizzly Bear member Daniel Rossen, “Silent Song.” The first track to drop from this forthcoming EP had a lot of subtle beauty to it. In contrast, “Silent Song” is much less, uh, silent.

The opening features these strumming guitars and weeping guitar leads that could have come straight out of a classic rock tune. Daniel’s vocals are a little more fiery than usual, which I like a lot.

Look for this EP to drop on Warp in March. The 20th, to be exact!
