This beautiful human being just popped the bandcamp of Sun Glitters in my e-mail inbox. Feels good, man.
The soft, sedate, and psychedelic electronics packed into Glitters’ songs sound very en vogue. But assuming this is some new project riding a (chill)wave would be a mistake. More than a decade prior to this, Sun Glitters sole member used to release music as sug(r)cane. The experience shows the extreme attention to detail in the samples, mixing, and beats, too.
On “Too Much To Lose,” chilly beats and extremely treated vocals feel like a combination of Burial and Fever Ray. It’s a serious trip. Haven’t heard something this hypnotic in a while.
