Totally unrelated, but as a suggestion for your next review you should really check out a Japanese folk artist named Shugo Tokumaru. His new release is titled “In Focus,” and for me he has the most brilliant sense of melody, percussion, catchiness, and passion of any folk artist working today, and perhaps of any artist today period. You really ought to check him out…seriously. REVIEW!!!
…man, I really ought to stop drumming things up so much. -,- It would also be a late review since the album came out a couple of months ago, but either way it’s worth a listen.
He is avant-garde hip-hop, and he is amazing.
good review BTW
I’m an older fellow who doesn’t pay much attention to this kind of music. I am always thankful when your reviews (on WNPR) turn me on to artists from this genre who have more to offer than just synthetic 4/4 dance floor tension and release. I’m getting on the Schlohmo train! Great radio show, BTW.
