Birdy Nam Nam- “Defiant Order”

I gotta give a huge props to the Needle Drop who turned me on to this track from Birdy Nam Nam. These guys are a French DJ collective, and their latest album is Defiant Order.

Of course, the source material for the group’s songs is vinyl. Can’t complain about that–especially since it’s lead to the funky, electronic grooves on the track embed above.

    I prefer their second album “Manual for successful rioting”, though this track might be one of their best, with “the parachute ending”

    BNN on the Needle Drop ? Great ! The new BNN’s record is more “organic”, “mecanic” and really interesting. They involve and they go far away from the sound of their past albums. Para One’s production is pretty interesting too. Songs like “Cadillac Dreams” or “(The Golden Era Of) El Cobra D” are surprising : New sounds, new perspective ! People really got to hear their records. BNN is a great live band too !
